Position Title

Family Medicine / Internal Medicine Physician

Position Summary

The Family Medicine / Internal Medicine Physician provides comprehensive, patient-centered primary care services to individuals and families across the lifespan. This role emphasizes high-quality, accessible, and compassionate care while addressing preventive, acute, and chronic health needs. The physician works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver coordinated care aligned with organizational values, clinical standards, and community health goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care services, including preventive care, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
• Perform patient evaluations through history taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based clinical guidelines.
• Deliver age-appropriate health maintenance services, screenings, and immunizations.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment options, wellness, and disease prevention.
• Coordinate care with specialists, behavioral health providers, and other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical documentation in the electronic health record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, population health management, and care coordination activities.
• Support continuity of care through appropriate referrals, follow-up planning, and care transitions.
• Adhere to clinical protocols, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.

Practice Environment

• Outpatient-focused primary care practice with integrated support services as applicable.
• Collaborative, team-based care model including nursing, clinical support staff, and ancillary services.

Schedule and Workload

• Full-time or part-time opportunities may be available.
• Flexible scheduling options depending on clinic needs.
• Limited or no inpatient responsibilities depending on practice structure.

Requirements

• Completion of education as an MD/DO
• Completion of an accredited residency training program in family medicine or internal medicine and
• Current board certification or active participation in the examination process leading to board certification in Family Medicine/Internal Medicine.
