We’re Looking for a Culinary Internship
The Culinary Internship Program is designed to provide hands-on experience in a professional kitchen environment. Interns will gain practical knowledge in food preparation, kitchen operations, food safety, and teamwork while working alongside experienced culinary professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in daily food preparation and mise en place
- Support chefs during service (breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with inventory, storage, and stock rotation (FIFO)
- Participate in team briefings and kitchen training sessions
Learning Objectives:
- Develop fundamental culinary techniques and knife skills
- Understand kitchen workflow and service execution
- Gain knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Learn menu planning and basic costing principles
- Build teamwork and communication skills in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Culinary Arts program (preferred)
- Passion for food and hospitality
- Strong willingness to learn and take direction
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Schedule : This position requires fully availability during mornings and afternoons, shift of 8 hours could be arranged between 6:00 am to 12:00 am, weekends required.
Work Location: Miami South Beach, FL.
Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of being stand and lifting 15 pounds or more
Work Authorization: Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
FSLA Classification: Non-exempt
