Litigation Legal Assistant
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support a busy team of attorneys handling complex employment litigation matters in state and federal courts. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative legal environment and has strong defense litigation experience. This position is fully onsite in Orlando. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct administrative and litigation support to attorneys throughout all phases of litigation
Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, court dates, and scheduling for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, depositions, and trials
Draft, format, proofread, revise, and finalize legal correspondence and court filings
Handle electronic filing in state and federal courts
Assist with discovery, including document production, Bates numbering, redaction, and organization of case materials
Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, and vendors
Maintain and organize physical and electronic case files
Process expense reports and assist with time entry management as needed
Coordinate new matter intake and conflict checks
Monitor deadlines and ensure timely follow-up on assignments and filings
Support attorneys in delivering high-quality legal services while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
Qualifications
Minimum of 4 years of strong defense litigation experience required
Working knowledge of Florida and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Experience with e-filing systems and electronic document management systems preferred
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced legal environment
Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude
Typing speed of at least 65 WPM required
Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
Schedule & Compensation
Monday through Friday
8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Competitive salary commensurate with experience
