Job Description
The Investment Operations Associate is an integral part of the planning team within Vaughn Brinkley Wealth Strategies Group. The primary responsibilities of the Investment Associate include assisting in the creation of the asset management portion of a financial plan, managing the new account opening process, onboarding of new investment clients, ongoing investment account management and service, and maintaining compliance standards. Please note: This is an in-office position located in beautiful downtown Pensacola.
Specific responsibilities include but not limited to:
PROCESSING ACCOUNTS & CLIENT SERVICE
- Organize, manage, and coordinate back-office investment account services and support create and monitor daily system for new account follow-ups and service
- Prepare and process all paperwork needed for investment/advisory accounts
- Coordinate initial and subsequent asset allocation trades
- Process and monitor asset transfers
- Process proposal amendments, monitoring alerts and annual reviews
- Coordinate execution of buy or sell orders, rebalancing orders, and maintaining asset allocation
- Following up on all trade-related issues
- Monitor holdings for program eligibility and administer advisory accounts
- Correspond with clients to handle account-related service issues
- Perform cashiering functions
CASE PREPARATION AND INVESTMENT ANALYSIS
- Case consultation and preparation with Advisor and Relationship Management Associate
- Thoroughly document client interaction during follow up communication
- Prepare all investment materials for plan presentation meetings, quarterly and annual reviews
Qualifications
Skill Set, Education, and Industry Experience:
- 5+ years in the securities industry
- Series 7 and 66/63, SIE
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
- Strong critical thinking, financial analysis, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple diverse projects and assignments in a timely and quality manner
- Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to embrace change and work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work both independently and in a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong follow-through and a sense of urgency
