Job Summary

Duties include being the check-in point of contact for the Shipping & Receiving. Greet and login drivers and verifying bills of lading and COA’s. They will be responsible for visual inspection of inbound and outbound freight and accurate data management into SAP. This individual will also need to maneuver products and manipulate in and around pallets to verify labeling meets BOL’s. Strong computer skills are needs as well as the ability to operate and industrial truck safely. This individual must be able to troubleshoot problems and have excellent communication skills with Plant Management. This individual must also have above average computer skills and will be responsible for Labels and SAP data entry. This individual must have knowledge of shipping & receiving operations and/or be experienced with our products.

Major Job Functions:

This description is general in nature – the duties listed include – but are not inclusive of:

• Execute and coordinate the daily activities of the shipping office.
• Greeting and logging in drivers, confirming accurate orders are being picked up and shipped.
• Running logistics/order reports through Warehouse Management System.
• Become a SME (subject matter expert) on SAP.
• Track orders after shipment for overages/shortages and notify customers of discrepancies.
• Creating, verifying, tracking orders, Bill of Ladings, and communicating discrepancies to management.
• Daily filing/scanning of documents all pertaining to shipments & receivers.
• Processing and providing daily reports.
• Work with the Logistics Coordinator and provide back-up for that role.
• Oversee all daily shipping functions:
  • Carrier compliance.
  • Freight bill audit.
  • Shipment tracking.
  • Carrier selections.
  • Manage daily pick up/delivery schedules.

This position is a day shift position. The ability to lift up to 30 lbs. on occasion is required.

Required Skills/Abilities/Education:

• Ability to multitask in fast paced warehouse and office environments.
• Satisfactorily pass forklift driving training program or demonstrate safe handling of forklift in an on-site test.
• Bilingual helpful.
• Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions.
• Organized – Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task. Ability to effectively organize own schedule to ensure timely completion of all projects within the scheduled time-frames.
• Accurate – Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
• Detail-oriented – Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task.
• Customer oriented – Ability to take care of the customers needs while following company procedures. Ability to interact with customers and drivers in a professional and effective manner.
• 5 years experience in a Shipping & Receiving role.
