Python & SQL Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Python & SQL Developer for a Contract with a client in Newark, NJ/ Tampa, FL (Hybrid). This role requires strong proficiency in Python and SQL to build and optimize backend applications and high‑performance data solutions .

Rate Range: $55/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Python & SQL Developer job responsibilities include:

• Develop, test, and maintain Python‑based backend applications, automation scripts, and data processing workflows.

• Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects for high‑performance data access.

• Design and manage relational database schemas while ensuring data integrity, scalability, and efficient query execution.

• Build and support ETL processes, data ingestion pipelines, and validation routines for reliable data flow.

• Troubleshoot application and database performance issues, implementing improvements through tuning and indexing.

• Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or an equivalent field.

• 10+ years of hands‑on experience in Python and SQL development.

• Strong proficiency in Python for backend development and data processing.

• Advanced expertise in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries and working with relational databases.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $60.00 per hour
