Kitchen Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food products in accordance with recipes, presentation standards, and food safety guidelines while delivering exceptional culinary experiences for guests. This role supports daily kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, cooking and plating menu items, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, and ensuring proper food handling procedures are followed at all times. This position works collaboratively with the culinary team to maintain operational excellence, uphold brand standards, and create memorable dining experiences in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, production guidelines, and presentation standards
• Assist with food preparation tasks including portioning, chopping, measuring, mixing, and storing ingredients
• Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, grills, fryers, stoves, and microwaves safely and efficiently
• Monitor food quality, portion control, and food temperatures to ensure compliance with HACCP and food safety standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, equipment, refrigerators, and storage areas
• Follow proper food handling, labeling, dating, rotation, and FIFO procedures to ensure product quality and minimize waste
• Set up and break down kitchen stations with proper mise en place, tools, and supplies for service periods
• Support banquet, buffet, and restaurant operations by ensuring timely and accurate food production
• Communicate effectively with chefs and culinary team members to maintain smooth kitchen operations during service
• Follow all company safety, sanitation, and operational policies while maintaining a professional appearance and positive team environment
