Ocala FL Behavioral Medicine Faculty Job with AdventHealth Family Medicine Residency
AdventHealth Family Medicine Residency in Ocala is hiring a behavioralist to join our faculty to educate and empower the next generation of family physicians. Qualified applicants will include PhD-level psychologists, experienced Licensed Clinical Social Workers, or experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists.
The behavioral scientist will be a key member of the core faculty team of the residency. The candidate will be expected to spend 40% of their time providing psychotherapy to patients directly, while 60% of their time will be dedicated to supervising and teaching residents and assisting with various administrative duties of the residency program. The ideal candidate will have both clinical and educational experience, including teaching and supervising learners.
Job Responsibilities:
- Full time. Split schedule of resident supervision, personal clinical, and administrative time
- Work with Program Director on program accreditation, resident recruitment, rotation scheduling, curriculum development and resident coaching.
- Serve as a member of residency committees such as the program evaluation committee and clinical competency committee.
- Perform additional academic and clinical duties as assigned by the program director
- Demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Model professionalism for residents, medical students and clinical staff.
- Possess excellent computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office and the EPIC EMR.

A strong emphasis will be placed on evidence-based medicine with a concentration on patient-centered care. Ideal candidate would have experience in academic medicine, strong communication skills, and fit within the mission and vision of AdventHealth.
Faculty will be responsible for administering and maintaining an educational environment conducive to educating residents in each of the ACGME competency areas subspecialty boards as required by the ACGME.
