The Claims Risk Manager is responsible for managing the claims department in keeping with agency and individual goals. This position will analyze incoming claims, provide Loss Control and Risk Management services to potential and current clients. General Responsibilities: - Manage claims department; develop and manage internal procedures
- Develop training program and train new Producers on claim related processes, premium/loss summaries, Experience Mod Software (Smart Comp)
- Develop and maintain client service plans - emphasis on claims, risk management and loss control
- Coordinate with Profit Center Leader on carrier loss ratios and profit-sharing contracts
- Develop a client follow-up plan to be implemented and monitored within the claims department
- Focus on workers compensation and casualty claims for current clients and producer prospects
- Client and Prospect Presentation for claims review and risk management solutions
- Respond to all claims related feedback from customers and carriers
- Review and complete loss premium summaries for current accounts
- Create or direct the creation of insured-specific claims-related reports
- Other claims-related functions
- All other duties assigned
Required Qualifications: - 3 or more years of experience in Multi-line Property and Casualty Insurance
- High School Diploma or General Education (GED) required
- Knowledge of advanced insurance products and pricing tools
- Adept in technical skills, including word processing, Excel and internet-based rating programs
- Knowledge of “Applied Systems”
- Must be curious, analytical, creative, able to problem solve, competitive, and detailed oriented
