Automotive Sales Consultant — Kuhn Volkswagen You don't need to have sold cars before. You do need to be good with people.

Kuhn Volkswagen has been selling and servicing cars in South Tampa for more than 20 years. We're the #1 volume Volkswagen dealer in Central Florida and currently tracking in the top 20 VW stores in the country .

That volume is the whole point for you: more customers on the lot and more leads in the pipeline means more chances to sell, more chances to earn, and a floor that isn't fighting over scraps. We're family owned, we promote from within, and a lot of our managers started exactly where you'd be starting.

What you'll earn

We pay a base salary plus flat commission — you get a paycheck while you learn, and real upside once you're rolling.

• $350–$550 per vehicle sold. Your per-car rate goes up as your monthly volume goes up, so your 15th car pays better than your 5th.
• Volume bonuses on top of your flat and Volkwagen pays you for each new car you sell.
• Signing bonus available for experienced salespeople with a verifiable track record.
• Paid training / guaranteed pay for your first 90 days while you get up to speed.
• Our consultants earned an average of $85,000 last year; our top performers cleared $130,000.

Schedule: We're a busy store, but we're not interested in burning you out.

What the job actually looks like

• Greet people and get curious. Ask the right questions, listen to the answers, and put customers in the vehicle that actually fits their life and budget.
• Work your leads fast. A big share of our traffic starts online. You'll respond quickly, set firm appointments, and follow up until you get an answer.
• Demo the product. VW builds a lot of technology into these cars. You'll learn it cold and teach it in plain English.
• Run a clean CRM. Every call logged, every note accurate, every follow-up scheduled in our system.
• Present and close with support. Your managers work deals alongside you — you're never sent into a negotiation on your own.
• Stay in touch after the sale. Repeat and referral business is what separates a $60K year from a six-figure year here, and we'll show you how to build it.
• Take care of the store. Keep the showroom and lot sharp, move and park inventory, help your teammates.

What we're looking for

• Genuine people skills and steady energy — you like talking to strangers and you don't fold when a conversation gets uncomfortable
• Organized enough to juggle dozens of active customers without letting anyone fall through the cracks
• Clear, professional writing in email and text (real sentences, correct spelling — a lot of selling happens on a keyboard now)
• Comfortable with performance-based pay and motivated by it
• Valid Florida driver's license and an insurable driving record
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Automotive experience preferred but not required. Some of our strongest consultants came from restaurants, retail, hospitality, gyms, phone and wireless sales, and the military. If you've been good at any job where you had to win people over, we can teach you the rest.
