Overview

Responsible for gathering accurate data, using knowledge and judgment in what to include in drafting insurance renewal submissions and completing insurance applications. Manages insurance binders, policies, schedules and payments for accuracy, timeliness and preservation. Responsible for financial record keeping and accuracy to include invoices, plan, forecast, premium and claim allocation preparation. Manages the bond program, certificates of insurance, etc. Runs routine and ad hoc statistical and productivity reports.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain database of accurate asset and exposure information needed for underwriting and actuarial purposes. Gather information needed for accurate insurance renewal submissions and complete insurance applications.
  • Manage schedule of insurance, timely receipt of accurate quotes, binders, policies, coverage summaries, schematics, and invoices. Manage record retention and maintain insurance policies/ information appropriately. Develop and document operating procedures for role to ensure consistency and compliance and for training purposes. Work with team members on developing overall Risk Management Procedure. Work in tandem with Risk Management team to support team members and customers and raise the awareness of Risk Management as a resource and partner.
  • Draft plan, forecast and allocation. Maintain premium and claim allocations and work with Finance to administer distribution of all allocations and premium invoices. Notify Tax Department of insurance premium tax for appropriate and accurate filing. Manage CorpPlan system for Risk Management department, timely and accurately coding invoices. Monitor trending of actuals to plan and collaborate with Finance to ensure alliance.
  • Responsible for timely distribution of Auto ID cards, and outgoing Certificates of Insurance (COI). Manages incoming High-Risk COI through the Ebix system and ensures compliance. Schedule, monitor, allocate and manage bond program and premiums.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree in Insurance and Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years' experience in insurance or risk financing experience
  • Accounting background a plus
  • CPCU, ARM preferred
  • Insurance and Risk Management techniques knowledge
  • Financial experience with budgets, forecasts, allocations, and trend analysis
  • Knowledgeable of insurance terms, coverages, process, financial experience and understanding
  • Proficient with spreadsheets, pivot tables, filters, and PowerPoint
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
