Production Assembler OPEN NOW
This role supports the fabrication and finishing of metal generator enclosures in either the Enclosure Shop, where enclosures are built, or the Finish Department, where final assembly and finishing work is completed. You work hands-on with a variety of hand tools and power tools to carry out daily assigned tasks that contribute directly to the production of high-quality metal enclosures.
Responsibilities- Assist in building metal generator enclosures in the Enclosure Shop using hand tools and power tools.
- Support final assembly and finishing tasks in the Finish Department on enclosures that have already been fabricated.
- Read and follow basic instructions, drawings, or blueprints as needed to complete fabrication and assembly work.
- Perform general fabrication, assembly, and repair tasks under the direction of experienced team members.
- Use carpentry, construction, or metalworking techniques to measure, cut, fit, and assemble materials.
- Handle daily assigned production tasks efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
- Provide support to the fabrication team by moving materials, organizing work areas, and preparing parts for assembly.
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of safety glasses and steel-toe footwear.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area in both indoor and outdoor industrial settings.
- Collaborate with supervisors to be placed in either the Finish Department or Enclosure Shop based on skills and experience.
- Experience using hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and measuring tools.
- Experience using power tools such as drills, saws, grinders, or similar equipment.
- Background in construction, carpentry, concrete work, landscaping, metalworking, or fabrication.
- Ability to perform basic fabrication and assembly tasks in an industrial environment.
- Capability to support production work and follow daily task assignments.
- Comfort working with your hands and handling physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Understanding of basic safety practices in an industrial or construction setting.
- Prior experience in fabrication or production environments.
- Exposure to blueprint reading or working from drawings and written instructions.
- Experience with assembly, repair, or support roles in industrial or construction settings.
- Transferable skills from carpentry, concrete work, landscaping, or other hands-on trades.
- Willingness to learn new fabrication and finishing techniques under supervision.
- Ability to work both independently on assigned tasks and collaboratively within a team.

Work EnvironmentWork takes place in an industrial setting that includes both indoor and outdoor areas. Team members may be assigned to either the Finish Department or the Enclosure Shop based on their skills and interview results. The environment is hands-on and production-focused, with regular use of hand tools and power tools. Safety is a priority, and employees must wear safety glasses and steel-toe footwear as part of the dress code.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.50 - $22.50/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
