Position Summary

The Chief Sales Officer / Vice President of Sales will lead the organization’s sales strategy, driving profitable revenue growth across multiple business divisions and market segments. This executive will oversee sales leadership, forecasting, business development strategy, process optimization, and customer relationship management while fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.

The ideal candidate is a strategic and results-oriented sales leader with significant experience in commercial construction and large-scale B2B sales management.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Growth Strategy

  • Develop and execute strategic sales initiatives to achieve revenue and profitability goals
  • Lead and support sales teams across multiple markets and divisions
  • Identify and prioritize high-value market opportunities
  • Deliver accurate sales forecasting and pipeline visibility to executive leadership
  • Support key customer relationships and strategic business opportunities
  • Monitor industry, customer, and competitive trends to guide decision-making
  • Travel regularly for leadership meetings, client engagement, and sales development initiatives

Sales Operations & Team Development

  • Design and optimize sales team structure, territories, compensation plans, and performance metrics
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top-performing sales talent and leaders
  • Improve sales processes, systems, and operational efficiencies
  • Oversee CRM utilization, sales enablement tools, and reporting systems
  • Develop training programs focused on sales effectiveness, pipeline management, and conversion performance
  • Manage departmental budgets and sales-related operational costs

Executive Leadership

  • Partner closely with senior leadership to align sales objectives with overall business strategy
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Lead by example to reinforce organizational values and performance expectations

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field required
  • MBA preferred

Experience

  • 15+ years of B2B sales leadership experience
  • 5+ years leading sales managers and multi-level teams
  • Commercial construction industry experience required, roofing preferred.
  • Commercial roofing experience strongly preferred
  • Experience within mid-sized or large-scale organizations preferred
  • Proven success leading complex sales organizations across multiple locations or markets

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong strategic sales leadership and business development capabilities
  • Excellent forecasting, operational planning, and analytical skills
  • Expertise with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams
  • Strong process improvement and sales operations experience

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record
  • Ability to travel approximately 25–50% as needed
  • Full-time onsite leadership role
  • Fort Lauderdale / South Florida area preferred
