We are looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join our team in Naples, Florida. The ideal candidate will oversee key accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes. This role is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in financial reporting and audits.
Responsibilities:• Manage month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to uphold data integrity.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Coordinate and support financial statement audits, addressing inquiries and providing necessary documentation.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights and support for business decision-making.
• Monitor and evaluate financial performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
• Assist in budget preparation and forecasting to support organizational goals.
• Train and mentor less experienced accounting staff to build a strong and knowledgeable team.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a similar capacity.
• Proficiency in managing month-end close processes and general ledger maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of financial reporting and compliance standards.
• Hands-on experience with financial statement audits and preparation.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems is highly desirable.
