Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate: $36.93 - $48.01 / hour

Summary

The Cardiovascular Sonographer performs high-quality fixed and mobile diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with departmental policies and professional standards. This Level 3 role requires advanced specialization in vascular ultrasound, with demonstrated proficiency in carotid, venous, arterial, abdominal visceral, hemodialysis duplex, and physiological studies. The sonographer also assists vascular surgeons during EVLT procedures and supports providers with a variety of diagnostic exams.

As an independent practitioner, the sonographer collaborates closely with physicians, medical staff, and external partners to ensure accurate testing and exceptional patient care. Additional responsibilities include contributing to performance improvement initiatives, participating in staff and student training, and promoting a positive patient, physician, and employee experience. General computer proficiency and the ability to transport non-narcotic medications as directed are also required.

Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program or ARRT-approved program.

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of vascular ultrasound experience preferred; must demonstrate proficiency in both required registries.

• Certification/Licensure:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) American Heart Association.

  • Registered in Vascular Technology (RVT, ARDMS) or Vascular Ultrasound (RVS, CCI).
