JANITOR-2nd Shift (North Port)

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial services is a plus.
• Ability to use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Knowledge of or ability to learn how to handle and dispose of biohazardous waste/materials properly required
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move objects as needed.

Education/Experience/Certifications/Licenses

• Education - High school graduate or equivalent preferred

Typical Physical and Mental Demands/Work Environment: Work is primarily performed in a manufacturing facility and occasionally seated in an office. May involve working under deadlines. Requires: broad range of physical and mental activities to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position: 2nd shift hours Monday-Friday 3:30pm-12:00am + every other Saturday.

• You will be required to stand for 5.5+ hours/day, walk for 5+ hours/day, constant overhead reach, forward reach, climb, bend, kneel, squat, stoop, use manual dexterity, make position changes, push/pull with arms, wear protective equipment, perform repetitive motion, maintain physical endurance, maintain attention to detail, use memory/recall, communicate effectively, demonstrate adaptability, hear clearly, use depth perception, visual acuity, frequent engage in problem-solving, twist, push/pull with legs and arms, lift/carry 5–50lbs., and use color vision. Typical tools, equipment and machinery utilized include brooms/dustpans, mops, buckets, sponges and scrub brushes, cloths and rags, squeegees, carts, storage cabinets, and vacuum cleaner. The position involves time in an environment with extreme temperatures exceeding 100°F during summer months.
