Job Title: Water Treatment Technician Apprentice

Job Summary:
We are looking for a mechanically inclined, motivated individual who wants to build a long-term career in the trades. This is an entry-level apprentice position designed for someone who enjoys working with their hands, solving problems, and delivering excellent customer service.
You’ll train alongside experienced technicians, learn water treatment systems, and grow into running your own service route.
This role begins with a structured training period and gradually progresses into independent field work with incremental pay increase at each stage.
Training & Growth Timeline
First 90 Days: Hands-on training with experienced technicians
3 Months: Begin assisting on service calls and occasionally working in a truck
5–6 Months: Start handling service routes independently
1 Year: Expected earnings of $22/hour or more , depending on performance
Responsibilities:
Assist technicians with installation and service of water treatment systems
Learn plumbing fundamentals such as pipe connections and system diagnostics
Perform system maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs
Communicate clearly with homeowners and customers
Represent the company professionally in customers’ homes
Use a tablet-based system (ServiceTitan) to document work
Work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
Lift equipment and materials up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
Qualifications:
Strong mechanical aptitude
Interest in building a career in the trades
Good communication and customer service skills
Professional appearance and demeanor
Ability to work outdoors in Florida heat
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Ability to pass a background check
Must live within 30 miles of Gainesville

Benefits:
Starting pay is $17.00 per hour with increases pending performance.
15 days paid time off per year (after 90 days)

The compensation for this position is $17.00 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate’s skills, experience, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed.
