Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager

NextGen Hospitality Solutions is looking for a talented Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager to join our vibrant team in Pensacola. This full-time, on-site position offers an exciting opportunity to lead our culinary team in a dynamic restaurant environment, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and kitchen operations.
As a Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager, you will play a crucial role in menu development, staff training, and maintaining the overall efficiency of kitchen operations. Your leadership will help cultivate a positive kitchen culture while delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $75,000 annually, along with a supportive environment that encourages creativity and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and execution of innovative menu items
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Monitor food quality and presentation before serving
- Implement cost control measures to maximize profitability
- Foster a positive team environment and promote collaboration
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Strong culinary skills and a passion for food
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with inventory management and cost control
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
