What You'll Do As a Litigation Legal Assistant, your responsibilities may include:- Preparing, proofreading, formatting, and filing legal documents with courts and agencies
- Managing attorney calendars, court deadlines, hearings, and trial schedules
- Drafting legal correspondence, pleadings, and other case-related documents
- Organizing discovery materials, exhibits, and case files
- Maintaining document management and records systems
- Coordinating communications with clients, courts, vendors, and opposing counsel
- Assisting with trial preparation, hearing logistics, and case administration
- Supporting attorneys and legal teams throughout all phases of litigation
- Prior experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or similar legal support professional
- Working knowledge of litigation procedures, court rules, and filing requirements
- Strong legal document formatting, editing, and proofreading skills
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management/document management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A proactive mindset and strong attention to detail
