Commercial Security Systems Foreman

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Security Systems Foreman / Lead Technician for two direct hire openings supporting commercial security projects in South Florida. One position will cover the Miami to Fort Lauderdale region, and one position will cover the Boca Raton to West Palm Beach region.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled security systems professional who enjoys leading field teams, solving technical challenges, and delivering high-quality installations for commercial clients. The role offers the stability of an established technology systems integrator, a strong project pipeline, supportive leadership, and the opportunity to work with advanced access control, video surveillance, intercom, and intrusion detection technologies.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on foreman or lead technician who can guide technicians in the field, communicate professionally with project stakeholders, and ensure each installation is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise field technicians on commercial security system installation projects.
- Install, test, commission, service, and troubleshoot access control, video surveillance, intercom, and intrusion detection systems.
- Perform proper installation and termination of security panels, cameras, locking devices, door contacts, motion sensors, and related low-voltage equipment.
- Read and interpret architectural drawings, security plans, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate professionally with customers, contractors, project managers, and other trades to support successful project delivery.
- Ensure all work meets applicable codes, safety requirements, customer specifications, schedules, and industry standards.

Compensation and Benefits

- $30 to $35 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Lead commercial security system installation projects in the field.
- Install, terminate, test, commission, and troubleshoot physical security systems.
- Coordinate daily project activity with technicians, project managers, customers, contractors, and other trades.
- Maintain project schedules, quality standards, safety compliance, and professional workmanship.

- 5 or more years of hands-on experience with commercial security systems.
- Lead technician or foreman experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong experience with access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection or burglar alarm systems.
- Skilled in low-voltage wiring, panel termination, device installation, and security hardware troubleshooting.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, wiring, programming, and system performance issues.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, security plans, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet project deadlines.
- Professional, dependable, self-motivated, and customer-focused work style.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Genetec, Lenel-S2, Brivo, AMAG, Axis, Hanwha, and Aiphone systems.
- Florida Certified Alarm System Contractor I or II license is preferred but not required.
- Experience supporting commercial clients in technology-driven environments.
- Prior experience training, mentoring, or providing technical guidance to other technicians.
