We are seeking a Medical Assistant to become a part of our team! You will perform routine administrative and clinical assignments to keep the medical facility running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and obtain vital signs.
• Escort patients to exam rooms.
• Answer phone calls and take messages.
• Call patients with test results and appointment reminders.
• Assist physician during certain visits and medical and minor surgical procedurres.
• Administer vaccines.
• Draw blood and prepare it to be sent out for testing.
• Obtain specimens and administer in-office testing.
• Administer testing for "Annual Wellness Exams" and log results into electronic medical records system.
• Prepare exam rooms and keep back office clean and stocked.
• Re-order supplies.
• Assist front office with scheduling of visits and additional tests.
• Complete other administrative tasks, as needed.

​ Qualifications:

• Previous experience working directly with patients in a healthcare setting.
• A caring, even-temperred and friendly disposition to foster warm relationships with patients of all ages, especially older patients
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Good computer skills
• Phlebotomy skills (desirable but not essential, if willing to be taught.)
• The desire to work in a small, slow-paced practice

Our MDVIP practice is a membership-only, concierge-like practice that emphasizes health and wellness. It is a well-established practice that puts "family" back in Family Practice. We see patients of all ages but specialize primarily in Geriatrics. We put the patient first. We limit the number of patients in the practice so that we can see our scheduled patients on time with little to no wait-time, schedule urgent patients on the same or next day whenever possible, and have unrushed office visits that allow time to address our patients' needs We combine traditional medicine with state-of-the-art lab work and testing. We place an extra focus on reducing stress as well as promoting good diet, exercise, weight loss and healthy lifestyle to prevent disease, maximize quality of life, and maintain wellness.
