Overview

A lighting manufacturer and distributor is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Finance to oversee all day-to-day financial operations. This leadership role involves managing cash flow, preparing monthly financial statements, conducting projections and analysis, and overseeing bank reconciliations. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial acumen, hands-on accounting experience, and the ability to provide insights that support growth and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily financial operations, including cash management and forecasting.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, budgets, and variance reports.
• Conduct financial analysis and develop projections to support business planning.
• Oversee bank reconciliations, general ledger accuracy, and account closings.
• Monitor financial performance and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
• Ensure timely reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate with internal departments to streamline financial processes and reporting.
• Support audits, manage relationships with financial institutions, and oversee financial controls.

Ideal Qualifications

• Proven experience in financial management, preferably in manufacturing, distribution, or related industries.
• Strong background in accounting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate financial insights clearly and work cross-functionally with other departments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA is a plus.
