Inova Behavioral Health is looking for a dedicated Psychiatric Emergency Clinician 2 to join Consult Liaison Psychiatry at Inova Loudoun Hospital. Psychiatric Emergency Clinician 2 Full-time Day Shift: Monday Friday.

Psychiatric Emergency Clinician 2 Job Responsibilities:

• Provides on site psychiatric consultations to medicine teams for patients with behavioral health needs
• Provides a collaborative and integrative approach to patient care throughout the patients medical admission.
• Works closely with Psychiatrist to evaluate and diagnose mental health disorders and/or SUDs performs risk assessments and determines level of care in coordination with multidisciplinary teams for patients with BH needs.
• May provide a range of brief evidence based therapeutic interventions crisis management safety assessments utilizing appropriate resources to assist the patient in achieving the goals and objectives for medical and psychiatric stabilization.
• Provides clear and consistent communication seamless coordination and effective interventions to optimize treatment outcomes

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Masters Degree Ph.D. PsyD EdD in Mental Health Social Work Counseling Substance Use Disorders or Behavioral Health related field.
• Experience: Minimum of two years experience working in the psychiatric or mental health field with the seriously mentally ill.
• Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association upon start. Vistelar certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Licensure: Licensed Clinical Social Worker Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP) or Licensed Substance Abuse Professional (LSATP).
