Quality Engineer

**Description:** Lockheed Martin is looking to hire multiple quality engineers to support our operations team at our Ocala, FL site\. Ocala Operations has a represented manufacturing workforce that is supported by a strong engineering and operations support team\. As a Quality Engineer, you will have the opportunity to monitor and improve the quality of our operational processes and outputs\. **What You Will Be Doing** Duties include but are not limited to: - Reviews documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer\. - Ability to analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to moderately complex\. - Attends and leads program corrective action meeting, identifies trends, assists in problem resolution, and ensures responsible parties meet commitments\. - Participates as an active member of Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards which includes dispositioning non\-conforming hardware, identifying hardware containment , identifying appropriate root cause and corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence\. - Performs assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and ISO\-9001/AS9100\. - Interfaces with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality related issues\. - Utilizes lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement\. - Makes the final decision on acceptability of product\. - Plans and performs First Article Inspections \(FAIs\) in accordance with AS9102 **Why Join Us** Do you want to be part of a company culture that empowers employees to think big, lead with a growth mindset, and make the impossible a reality? Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance\. **Basic Qualifications:** - This position will be located at a facility that requires special access and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen\. - Ability to obtain secret clearance\. - Bachelors STEM degree or higher\. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications\. - Previous Engineering experience\. **Desired Skills:** - Strong communication skills \(both oral and written\)\. - Ability to work independently and as a team player\. - Proficient in Microsoft Office \(i\.e\. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc\.\)\. - Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques and continuous improvement - ISO\-9001/AS9100 knowledge\. - Circuit Card Assembly / Electronic Component Assembly experience, Cable/Harness experience, Corrective Action process, Preliminary Material Review experience, Material Review Board experience, Military/Aerospace specs\. - Ability to understand Engineering data packages, including GD&T requirements, material and process specifications, and schematics\. - Familiarity with the manufacturing and inspection techniques - Experience interacting with government customers \(DCMA, DoD\) - Excellent interpersonal skills needed for collaboration, communication, and presentations at working and leadership levels - Experience with drafting and reviewing Manufacturing Process Plans - Ample experience with root cause and corrective action \(RCCA\) - Experience with structured process improvement process activities\. i\.e\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\.
