Telesales Agent
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Telesales Agent for a remote temporary opportunity supporting health insurance sales in Florida or Georgia. This role is ideal for a licensed health insurance professional who enjoys consultative selling, helping customers make informed coverage decisions, and working in a fast-paced call center environment. As a Telesales Agent, you will handle primarily inbound calls with some outbound follow-up to help current and prospective members select the best health plan for their needs. You will receive structured training, clear performance expectations, and the opportunity to earn bonuses based on sales results. Key Responsibilities - Present and explain health insurance product options, including benefits, features, services, processes, and appropriate alternatives.- Handle qualified inbound calls and outbound sales opportunities to enroll customers into health plans.
- Identify customer needs, overcome buying obstacles, and cross-sell relevant product offerings.
- Deliver a professional, knowledgeable, and positive customer experience while working toward sales, retention, and service goals.
- Follow compliant sales scripts, procedures, documentation standards, and application processes.
- Research and resolve customer questions, disputes, and issues within established guidelines. Compensation and Benefits - Pay details provided: $22 per hour.
- Role notes also reference telesales rates of $21 per hour for English-speaking agents and $23.50 per hour for bilingual Spanish or Creole agents.

- Remote role for candidates located in Florida or Georgia.
- Training schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM EST.
- No time off will be granted during training.
- Work schedule may fall between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM EST.
- Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Shifts change weekly and are assigned based on business needs.
- Candidates cannot select their shift.
- No time off can be granted during training or OEP season.
- During November, candidates may occasionally be asked to work beyond 9:00 PM.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Conduct consultative telesales conversations with customers seeking health insurance coverage.- Manage inbound and outbound calls to convert leads and follow-ups into enrollments.
- Follow compliance requirements, approved scripts, application procedures, and documentation standards.
- Meet or exceed sales revenue, retention, and service level expectations. - High School Diploma or GED required.
- Active 2-40 or 2-15 Florida license, or state-equivalent health insurance license required.
- Must be comfortable with the license being held captive during the assignment and any related selling restrictions.
- Must successfully complete assigned product training.
- Must successfully complete required background screening and fingerprinting.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience preferred or required based on role expectations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build trust, rapport, and confidence with customers over the phone.
- Proficient typing skills and ability to navigate websites, email, and technology systems.
- Self-directed, goal-oriented, and motivated by sales success.
- Ability to listen actively, identify customer needs, and apply appropriate sales responses.
- Flexible and comfortable adapting to changing business needs, schedules, and feedback.
- Professional, ambitious, curious, and committed to meeting performance goals. Preferred Qualifications - 1 year of commissioned or bonus-based sales experience.
- 1 year of call center experience.
- 1 year of health insurance experience.
- Bilingual Spanish or Creole skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience working independently and as part of a team.
