System Admin

Kforce has a client that is seeking a System Admin in Tampa, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security. Responsibilities:

• System Admin will install, configure, and maintain operating systems and application software
• Maintain and optimize network infrastructure, server hardware, virtualization environments, and storage systems
• Assist and support the planning and execution of upgrades, migrations, and new deployments across on prem and cloud environments
• Monitor system performance and ensure high levels of uptime and reliability
• Perform routine backup and recovery operations for critical data and systems
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing exercises
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across various platforms
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity
• Apply operating system and application patches, updates, and security fixes
• As a System Admin, you will create and maintain up-to-date documentation for system configurations and procedures
• Provide user support and training for basic system functionality and best practices
• Assist in capacity planning, resource allocation, and technology refresh efforts
• Other duties as assigned
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, CCNA, CompTIA Security) are a plus
• 3-5 years of proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of enterprise-level infrastructure, system administration, and cybersecurity best practices
• Proficiency in virtualization technologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Valid driver's license is a plus
