Tax Manager - Generalist

Position Overview

A leading CPA and advisory firm is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join their Tampa office. The Tax Manager will play a key leadership role, overseeing tax engagements, developing team members, and nurturing strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and review the preparation of complex income tax returns, including S-corp, C-corp, trusts, estates, NFPs, and gift tax filings.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing all aspects of engagements from staffing and scheduling to communication and delivery.

• Participate in planning and researching complex tax issues, recommending strategic solutions to clients.

• Oversee special projects and manage the work of associates and senior associates.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and service.

• Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities to expand services to existing clients and attract new ones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

• CPA license required.

• Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience.

• Strong research and analytical skills related to complex tax issues.

• Proven leadership ability with excellent interpersonal and client service skills.

• Capable of mentoring and guiding team members, even if not direct reports.
