This position is involved in both the property management and the facility services industry. The main role of this position is to prepare, analyze, and review the monthly activity of an assigned portfolio of properties.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute the timely and accurate preparation of the monthly financial statements for assigned properties and other related reporting requirements.
  • Responsible for all aspects of accounting, budgeting, quarterly distribution, and financial package preparation.
  • Responsible for spearheading continuous improvement in financial preparation and timely delivery.
  • Responsible for performing and maintaining account reconciliations with supporting work papers and CAM recovery processes.
  • Review accounts payable invoice and purchase order coding for accuracy.
  • Maintain accounting records, files, policies, and procedures for assigned areas.
  • Process sales tax return for assigned portfolio.
  • Process journal entries and bank reconciliations.
  • Account analysis to determine accruals and reclassifications.
  • Complete special projects as needed.
  • Assist other team members as and when needed.
  • Able to communicate effectively with property managers, facility managers, and the management team.
  • Able to meet deadlines.


Knowledge and Skills:

  • Solid experience of Excel
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other Windows-based programs.
  • Time management

  • Open and clear communication skills
  • Teamwork and developing consensus
  • Commitment to extra effort to complete projects when due
  • Experience with Yardi is a plus


Education and Experience:

  • Accounting degree required
  • 3+ years of related experience
