Shipping and Receiving Manager

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Supervision: Manage, train, and schedule shipping department personnel. Conduct performance evaluations and enforce safety compliance and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Order Accuracy & Timeliness: Monitor picking, packing, and loading workflows to guarantee 100% order accuracy and on-time carrier departures.

• Inventory & SKU Management: Coordinate the storage, handling, and outbound flow of a complex catalog featuring various SKUs, maintaining tight inventory control.

• Workload Coordination: Balance daily shift assignments based on order volume, labor capacity, and carrier pickup schedules to prevent bottlenecks.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Inventory, Customer Service, Procurement, and Transportation teams to resolve order discrepancies and streamline fulfillment.

• Logistics & Freight: Liaise with third-party carriers (LTL, FTL, parcel) to arrange pickups, manage shipping documentation (Bills of Lading, manifests), and track transport performance.
