Assistant Mechanic

Woodfield Boca Raton in seeking an experienced full-time Assistant Mechanic for our Golf Course Maintenance department. The Assistant Mechanic will repair all equipment associated with the golf course maintenance department/landscape department and assist the Head Mechanic with any and all other needs of the department. They are responsible for maintaining a clean service area and maintenance building.

• Lubricates and services all course maintenance equipment.
• Inspects equipment for operating deficiencies.
• Repairs and adjusts equipment.
• Maintains repair records on all equipment.
• May be required to train maintenance staff in proper equipment maintenance methods.
• May be required to demonstrate use of new equipment.
• May be required to train personnel in proper use of equipment.
• May be required to train operators in care of new equipment.
• Performs general overhaul and other preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Responsible for monthly inspections of fuel tanks and record keeping as required by Florida D.E.P.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must possess valid driver license
• Working knowledge of light and heavy maintenance equipment and automotive apparatuses.
• Skill in the use of a variety of equipment repair tools.
• Ability to move heavy objects up to 50lbs.
• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions while repairing equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively and keep business records.
